Ink Technology
We exclusively use archival pigment inks - not dye-based inks - across all our print runs. Pigment inks consist of actual pigment particles suspended in a carrier liquid. They bond chemically with the paper coating rather than sitting on the surface, resulting in dramatically superior:
- Fade Resistance: Rated 100-200 years under glass vs. 10-25 years for dye inks
- Water Resistance: Pigment prints resist moisture and minor splashes
- Color Accuracy: True-to-life reproduction across the full visible spectrum
- UV Stability: Minimal color shift when displayed in bright indoor environments
Frame Construction
Our frames are constructed by skilled artisans using the following materials and standards:
🪵 Frame Moulding
Solid wood mouldings with smooth, lacquered or natural-grain finishes. Corner joints are precisely mitred and reinforced with metal V-nails for maximum structural integrity. No MDF or hollow profiles are used.
🔲 Glazing
Clear acrylic (perspex) glazing is used on all standard frames. It is 50% lighter than glass, shatter-resistant, and blocks up to 45% of UV rays, significantly reducing photo fading from ambient light exposure.
🪄 Backing Board
We use acid-free foam-core backing boards. Acid-free materials are critical - standard cardboard backing contains acidic compounds that migrate into the print over time, causing yellowing and degradation within years.

Our End-to-End Production Process
- Image Verification: Your file is scanned for resolution and color profile. If DPI is below the safe threshold for your chosen size, we alert you before printing.
- Color Profiling: We apply ICC color profiles matched to your specific paper stock, compensating for any color shift between your screen (typically sRGB) and our printer output.
- Giclée Printing: Files are sent to our high-resolution inkjet printers capable of printing at 1440 DPI with micro-droplet precision, producing smooth tonal gradients and razor-sharp edges.
- Quality Inspection: Each print is visually inspected under calibrated daylight lighting for banding, color casts, and edge accuracy before proceeding to the next stage.
- Mounting (Frames only): Prints are dry-mounted onto acid-free foam-core boards using temperature-controlled heat mounting presses, ensuring a perfectly flat surface with no bubbles or ripples.
- Framing (Frames only): The mounted print is assembled into your selected frame profile with acrylic glazing and an acid-free backing board, then sealed with professional framers tape.
- Packaging: Completed pieces are wrapped in tissue paper, corner-protected with heavy foam, and boxed in double-wall corrugated cardboard rated for safe transit.
- Dispatch: Orders are dispatched via reputed courier partners with tracking. You receive a confirmation email with your tracking details immediately upon dispatch.
